TRYP Mission, Vision & History

Economic Empowerment: Encourage and promote entrepreneurship, help businesses owners create new jobs, help members reach financial stability and the ability to buy a home.

Maximizing Relationships: Act as trusted and responsible leaders in the community, provide influence within local government, act as agents of change, provide mentor opportunities, create lasting and meaningful relationships, connect with multiple generations.

Individual & Community Well Being: Overall wellness, physical health, mental health (including awareness, access, and resources).

Mission:

Serve as a resource for engagement in order to empower and support our communities.

To be a platform for the residents of Lake Tahoe to offer economic empowerment, maximize relationships, and support individual and community well being.

History:

The Tahoe Regional Young Professionals (TRYP) evolved out of a small group of young professionals in the Lake Tahoe area that wanted to organize a group to network and give back to our community.

Tahoe Regional Young Professionals held its first unofficial meeting at Artemis Cafe in October of 2010 with about 20 people in attendance. In December of that year, a formal board of directors was appointed, and in January of 2011 Tahoe Regional Young Professionals was officially launched!

Tahoe Regional Young Professionals is a group of forward thinking individuals who believe in giving back to the community that has provided us an inspirational place to work, live, play and prosper – Lake Tahoe. By connecting Tahoe’s next generation to help better our community, we organize and participate in charity “FUN”draisers, networking events and provide career opportunities to help support Tahoe residents and businesses.
